Sha-vu-a tov

Sha-vu-a-tov

In English we say “good week.”  In Hebrew as with many languages it is “week good”, sha-vu-a is from the root sheva (seven), so the root word for week comes from seven as in seven days in a week.  Tov is the word good.

At the end of Shabbat it is quite common to tell someone שָׁבוּעַ טּוֹב and with that I wish you all a very good week!
